Restore your body’s natural function.

You are ready to take control of your health.

And proper guidance is crucial to getting you there on task and injury free. Learn how we harness the power of movement and the four pillars of health (mobility, core control, strength, and cardiovascular fitness) to establish a foundation of functional longevity.

Discover. Correct. Reinforce.

That’s the name of the game. We are experts—working to uncover the root cause of an injury and correct the underlying issue. By treating the root cause along with the symptoms, we are not only able to resolve pain but also create a long term solution that minimizes the risk of a return of symptoms and allows you to get back to the demands of your day to day activities.

You've been sidelined.

And exercise is the most effective tool for treating musculoskeletal injuries. It promotes tissue healing, restores flexibility and range of motion, as well as builds strength, stability, and coordination. The use of exercise empowers you, the individual, to take control of your own recovery. Discover how and why we harness the power of movement to achieve lasting results.

Successful treatment depends on proper diagnosis .

We perform a thorough evaluation that looks beyond the pain to understand the root cause of your pain or injury. During the evaluation, we will look at various movement patterns and assess your mobility, stability, and control in different parts of your body. This involves observing how you move and perform certain tasks, as well as evaluating joint range of motion, muscle strength, and coordination.

By analyzing these movement patterns, we can identify any areas of dysfunction that may be contributing to your symptoms or impacting your ability to move efficiently. This evaluation helps us develop a tailored treatment plan to address the root cause of your pain and improve your overall function. With 30 years of experience we are experts at identifying and uncovering why a body moves the way it does.

Where and why it hurts.

Pain may be caused by an injury or traumatic event, but it can also be the result of a dysfunction in how your body moves or performs an activity. A movement dysfunction may be caused by an imbalance, loss of motor control, strength, or mobility. In this case, your body will compensate by shifting the strain of movement to another region, joint, or muscle, which can result in a breakdown or injury. By understanding why your body hurts we can resolve the root cause and achieve a better, long term outcome.

Moving the needle.

Our treatments focus on movement and exercise and less on common modalities such as ultrasound, electric stimulation, dry needling and massage. While we may employ such techniques initially, as a means of reducing pain and promoting mobility, we see more effective long term results when exercise is used to restore injured joints, tissues and movement patterns to a natural full functional state.

Every body tells a story.

We work with individuals suffering from common musculoskeletal conditions affecting any joint or muscle as well as acute, traumatic and overuse injuries frequently associated with sports-related activities. Additionally we work with patients in their post-surgical recovery through direct coordination with their physicians.

We have you covered.

You may have a co-pay, a deductible, or you could be 100% covered. You can contact your insurer to find out your coverage or we can do that for you! We’re happy to follow up with your insurer to find out exactly what your coverage is. We accept all major health insurance in the state of Vermont.

Just as smoke reveals the presence of fire, pain may serve as an indicator of an underlying dysfunction that has yet to be identified. Modern healthcare is designed to treat the smoke. We prefer to focus on the fire.
